BASS COUNTRY ARPEGGIOS
Bass country arpeggios are often major chords and dominant 7 chords, and many times are moved around the fretboard to follow the guitar country chord changes. The difference between country arpeggios and other arpeggios is more how the arpeggio is played in relation to the rhythm, timing, amplifier sound and added extra lick notes.
Country arpeggios are often arranged close together for fast bass lines to play over the fast guitar chord changes. Understanding your arpeggio forms and scale forms on the fretboard is very important for playing country arpeggios and licks. You need to be able to move fast and change your pentatonic scales often for example. It is also important to really understand and be able to apply non-scale tones to your scales as this is what country players do a lot to get the type of sound and runs that they create.
