Walking Bass Lines For Bass

Bass lines that are called "walking bass lines" are usually bass lines that have notes with a quarter note duration. Just think about how this creates a steady, walking along type of bass line, by using a series of quarter notes over the chord changes.

This can be done from using just the root notes of each chord and playing quarter notes, playing the chord tones, playing fourths or fifths, using octaves, starting from degrees other than the root, using approach notes, etc. Whether Blues, R&B, Gospel, Jazz, Rock, Country walking bass lines are important for bass players to incorporate into their playing repertoire.

Learn more about how to play walking bass lines and so much more in regards to the bass fretboard, bass music theory, bass soloing and more than you ever believed was possible with a high end bass course for an amazing value.
